As a young child Ben was drawn to craft and working with his hands. He followed this passion by going to a technical school for machine shop and then found a passion in glass that never left him. This passion for metal and glass still is visible in his work today. He studied glass at Salisbury University where he graduated with a BFA in glass, assisted at the Chrysler Museum and has traveled the country blowing glass and now resides in Baltimore Maryland where he teaches classes and makes his own artwork in a public studio.
